MARGARET HOWARD

June 20, 1934-March 15, 2010

LAGRANGE -- Margaret Howard, 75, 131 Winding Lane, was born June 20, 1934, to the late George Barrett and Mary McKinnie Barrett in Wayne County. She quietly entered the king's palace Monday at Pitt County Memorial Hospital in Greenville surrounded by her family.

Margaret worked for more than 20 years in the pharmaceutical industry in New Jersey.

She was a person that prepared for everything and if she had, then those who needed also had. Margaret enjoyed buying different gadgets and promotional items that sparked her interest. She did not meet any strangers and will be greatly missed by all.

Margaret leaves fond memories of her life's journey to three daughters, Carol Hobbs and Kimberly Rowe both of Goldsboro and Stephanie Leverett of Bronx, N.Y.; a son, Kenneth Rowe of Mt. Laurel, N.J.; a sister, Dorothy Bell of Goldsboro; seven grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

Visitation for Ms. Howard will be held Saturday from 3 to 8 p.m. at E.M. Matthews Funeral Home and Cremations Inc., 401 N. William St. in Goldsboro.

While family and friends will gather in this earthly abode to reflect on joyous times and prodigious moments, Margaret's spiritual being is resting in that beautiful and everlasting garden of bliss. For in this garden, the master has hand-picked every flower so that every one is unique and special just like Ms. Margaret Howard.

The president and staff of E.M. Matthews Funeral Home and Cremations Inc. are honored to serve the family of Ms. Howard with true expressions of compassion, care and appreciation, www.emmatthewsfuneralhome.com, 735-2775.
