SEVEN SPRINGS -- Bonnie Littrell Creech, 82, of 3132 N.C. Hwy. 111 S., died Wednesday night at Wayne Memorial Hospital.

Funeral services will be held by the graveside today at 2 p.m. at Wayne Memorial Park. The Rev. Doug Bartlett will officiate.

Born March 23, 1927, to the late Harvey Littrell and Ethel Stone Littrell Jones, she was a "coal miner's daughter," who spent her early years in the mountains near Oliver Springs, Tenn. She was married to the late E. D. "Jack" Creech and was a charter member of Walker Memorial United Methodist Church.

Her survivors include a son, Roy David McCullen of Gates; six daughters, Gail Eldridge of Georgia, Faye Brown of Goldsboro, Geraldine Warren of Mount Olive, Bonnie Summerlin, Kitsie Blakely, and Jackie Strickland, all of Seven Springs; three brothers, Ernest Jones of Panama Canal, Andy Jones of Virginia, and David Lee Jones of Mount Olive; and three sisters, Margaret Ballard of Virginia, Mildred Presley of Louisiana, and Judy Peterson of Mount Olive. Mrs. Creech was also the beloved grandma of 14 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

Along with her husband and parents, three brothers, R.C. Jones, Arvin Jones, and Earl Jones preceded her in death.
