AULANDER -- Jonathan David Jones, 16, died Wednesday at Roanoke Chowan Hospital.
A celebration of life service will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. at Millennium Pentecostal Holiness Church. Burial will be in Job Cemetery, with the Rev. Taylor Latham and the Rev. Mike Williams officiating.
He was born July 7, 1993, in Pitt County.
He was a member and very active at Millennium Pentecostal Holiness Church and attended Ahoskie Christian School.
Left to cherish his memory are his parents, Sidney William Jones and Rhonda Williams Jones of Aulander; a sister, Sarah Jones of Aulander; a brother, Michael Jones of Aulander; maternal grandparents, Edna Williams of Goldsboro and Ronnie Williams of Dudley; nieces, Kaylee Jones and Kaitlyn Jones; and a nephew, William Jones.
The family will receive friends tonight from 7 to 8:30 at Garrett-Jones Funeral Home in Ahoskie and other times at the home.
