FT. WASHINGTON, Md. -- Naomi G.H. Washington departed this life Feb. 3.

Funeral services will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. at Payne Temple A.M.E. Zion Church in Mount Olive.

Mrs. Washington, better known to family and friends as "Chick Herring," was born Jan. 5, 1920, in Mount Olive to Pearlie Floyd and Jinkie Bell Herring.

She leaves to cherish her memory two daughters, Jinkie (Leonard) Corbin and DacCello Montrina (Joseph P.) Johnson; three grandsons, John, Nathan and L. Daniel Corbin; two granddaughter/nieces, Ruslita K. Gilmore-Hertz and Jonata E. (Carlin) Johnson-Hertz; three great-grandsons/nephews, Carlin Jr., Jaylin and Kylin Hertz; and other relatives, many friends and adopted sons and daughters in Christ.

Visitation will be Saturday at the church one hour prior to the funeral.

In lieu of flowers, please make monetary gifts to establish a scholarship fund in the name of Naomi Washington to Ebony Sonshine Inc.
