LENOIR -- Joyce Vivian Kornegay, formerly of Goldsboro, went home to be with the Lord Wednesday.
A graveside service will be held Tuesday at 1:30 p.m., with the Rev. Kevin Matheson officiating. Family and friends are welcome.
Vivian was known in her community for her love, devotion and care for her son, Grant Kornegay, who preceded her in death, and her desire to help the special needs population.
She is survived by her daughters, Darlene Branson and husband, Ron, of Pikeville and Betsy Kornegay of Seven Springs, and 10 grandchildren, Trey, Ginny, Gabe, Meghan, Courtney, Addi, Olivia, Madeline, Felicity and Arabella.
Arrangements are being completed by Evans Funeral Service of Lenoir.
