Virginia "Gin" Crockett-Taylor, 59, of 165 Perry Farm Lane, died early Thursday morning at Wayne Memorial Hospital.
At her request, no formal funeral services will be held.
Born in Findley, Ill., she was the daughter of the late Henry Benton Deems and Christina Dooms Deems.
She is survived by her husband, John Crockett; two sons, William Dean Taylor Jr. of Indianapolis, Ind., Bennie Harold Taylor Sr. of Goldsboro; two daughters, Jackie Sue Smith of Holly Ridge, Janet Lynn Taylor of Goldsboro; three brothers; two sisters; and seven grandchildren.
