KEN THOMAS

Harold Kenneth Thomas, 92, passed away Sunday evening at Wayne Memorial Hospital.

Ken was born in Detroit Mich., on Oct. 12, 1917, to the late Everette C. Thomas and Anna Shafer Thomas.

He was married to the late Doris Byrd Thomas. Ken retired after working 25 years with civil service and later founded Thomas Locksmith Company in 1980.

He was a member of the North Carolina Locksmith Association. Ken was an active member of First Free Will Baptist Church and was a charter member of Edgewood Evangelical Church.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 7 p.m. in the chapel of Seymour Funeral Home with the Rev. John Hill officiating. Interment will be Thursday at 11 a.m. in Wayne Memorial Park with military honors.

Ken is survived by his grandson, Robert "Bob" Taylor and wife, Kim of Goldsboro; his great-granddaughter, Kaitlynn Taylor; and his brothers, Robert S. Thomas and John W. Thomas, of Huntington, W.Va.

In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Jean Clifton; his brothers, Ed Thomas and Charles O. Thomas; and his sisters, Ruth Thomas and Evelyn Roby.

Flowers are welcome or memorials may be made to First Free Will Baptist Church, 604 E. Ash St., Goldsboro, NC, 27534.

The family will receive friends Wednesday following the service at Seymour Funeral Home.
