AUDREY G. SIERS

NEW BERN -- Audrey Gregory Siers, 93, passed away peacefully while surrounded by her family Monday evening at Wake Medical Center in Raleigh.

A graveside service was held today at 11 a.m. at Greenleaf Memorial Park, with the Rev. Charlene Guider officiating.

She was born in White Sulpher Springs, W.Va., to the late John and Amanda Paxton Gregory and was married to the late Dorlo Lee Siers.

Although her husband never let her work outside of the home, she was more than a homemaker. She was a wonderful, loving and caring wife, mother and grandmother.

Mrs. Siers is survived by three children, Jimmie Allen and Brenda Siers of Staley and Shanda Gail and Mike Prince of New Bern; 10 grandchildren, which include Derek and Cyndi Siers of Pikeville and Cheri and Mel Powers of Goldsboro; 15 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandson.

She was preceded in death by a son, Sherman Lee Siers, and her many brothers and sisters.

The family will receive friends immediately following the service at the grave.
