Edith Spruill Powell, 55, 603 Lockhaven Court, died Friday at Wayne Memorial Hospital.
Funeral services will be held Friday at 1 p.m. at Hamilton Funeral Chapel, 423 S. James St. in Goldsboro, with pastor Scottie Rodgers officiating. Burial will follow in Wayne Memorial Park, U.S. 117 south in Dudley.
She is survived by two sisters, Carrie S. Faison of Goldsboro and Judith S. (James) Baker of Pikeville; a brother, Michael Spruill of Goldsboro; nieces, Shauna M. Baker of Dallas, Texas; four nephews, Shannon Pierre (Letarisha) Baker and Marcus Baker of Pikeville, Vander Valechi Spruill of Baltimore, Md., and TeLee Williams of Goldsboro; two great-nieces, Maurriel Baker and Shannon Baker; four great-nephews, Shamar Baker, Devajhea Applewhite, Jaalin Applewhite and Jahiem Williams; one aunt, Virginia Coley of Goldsboro; and two great-aunts, Lillian Brown of Pikeville and Vernell Brown of Goldsboro.
A public viewing will be held Thursday from 2 to 7 p.m. at Hamilton Funeral Chapel, 423 S. James St. in Goldsboro, with the family receiving friends there from 6 to 7 p.m. and at other times at the home of James and Judith Baker, 554 Artis Road in Pikeville.
