PORTSMOUTH, Va. -- Samuel Newkirk, formerly of Goldsboro, died Tuesday.
Funeral services will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. at Fisher's Funeral Home, 1520 Effingham St., Portsmouth Va., with pastor Rodger L. Taylor Jr. officiating.
He is survived by his wife, Araminta.
