SEVEN SPRINGS -- Betty Jo Grant, 69, died Saturday at Kitty Askins Hospice Center in Goldsboro.

The funeral will be held at 7 p.m. on Tuesday at Tyndall Funeral Home in Mount Olive, with visitation immediately afterwards. The burial will be at 11 a.m. on Wednesday at Pineview Cemetery. The Rev. Sherman Guthrie will be officiating. Friends and family will be gathering at the residence of Wanda Grant at 428 Billy Price Road, Seven Springs.

Mrs. Grant was a member of Walker's Memorial United Methodist Church. She was a native of Louisiana and had been a long-time resident of the Seven Springs area.

She was preceeded in death by her parents, Otto and Gennar Lewis Stansell, and three brothers, Charles, Louis and James Stansell.

She is survived by her husband, James Braxton Grant; two daughters, Wanda Grant of Seven Springs, and Linda Lambert and husband, Dennis Jay of Mount Olive; two sons, Gerald Grant and wife, Mary of Suffolk, Va., and Billy Grant and wife, Rose of Albertson; a brother, Otto Stansell, Jr. of Alexandria, La.; three grandsons, James, Greg and Anthony Grant; three granddaughters, Michelle, Sallie, and Jennifer Grant; and a great-grandson, Braxton Joe Grant.
