DUDLEY - George Allen Lane, 63, owner of East Coast Construction Services in High Point, died Thursday evening at his home.
Funeral services will be conducted at 3 p.m. today at Thanksgiving Baptist Church, with the Rev. Steve Reed officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
He was born March 26, 1946, in Wayne County to the late Daniel Jackson and Maggie Hughes Lane. He was an avid fisherman.
Surviving are his wife of 33 years, Edith Whitley Lane; son, Scott Lane of Greensboro; brothers, Royce Lane and wife, Dorothy, of Warsaw, Nelson Lane of Faison, Stevie Lane and wife, Connie, Phil Lane and Carl Lane and wife, Marsha, all of Mount Olive; and a granddaughter, Miranda Lane.
The family will receive friends from 2 until 3 p.m. today just prior to the service at the church.
