NEWTON GROVE -- Katherine Sandy, 68, died Friday.
The funeral will be Monday at 2 p.m. at Newton Grove Baptist Church with the Revs. Gene Hales and Kelton Hinton officiating. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Cemetery, Newton Grove.
Mrs. Sandy is survived by her husband, the Rev. Frank Sandy; daughters, Renda Joy and husband, Ricky Freeman, of Highpoint, Shanda Smith of LaGrange; sons and daughters-in-law, David and Wendy Taylor, Lowell and Cathy Taylor, and James Sandy, all of Goldsboro; a brother, Larry and wife, Jackie Lewis, of Willow Spring; sisters, Cornelia Brinkley of Wilmington, Mary Jo and husband, Jackie Young of Goldsboro, Elaine and husband, Henry Redford, of Pinkney; 10 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Sandy was preceded in death by her parents, Roy and Essie Hales Lewis.

The family will receive friends at Newton Grove Baptist Church today from 6 until 8 p.m.
