Edward "Ed" Edmundson, 58, passed away Wednesday evening at Kitty Askins Hospice Center surrounded by his family.
A gathering of the family and friends will be held tonight from 7 to 9 p.m. at Seymour Funeral Home and at other times at 444 Turner Swamp Road in Eureka.
Edward was born in Wayne County May 6, 1951, to Etheleen Sauls Hikes of Goldsboro and the late Ray Edmundson.
In addition to his mother, Edward is survived by his daughter, Freedom Lucas and husband, Julius, of Greenville; his stepfather, Donald Hikes of Goldsboro; his brother, Leonard Edmundson and wife, Kathy, of Saulston; his sister, Jeannie Sauls and husband, Ronnie, of Eureka; nieces, Kim Andrews and husband, Brian, of Smithfield and Heather Zaragoza and husband, Gonzalo, of Stream-wood, Ill.; and nephews, Robbie Edmundson and wife, Lisa, of Goldsboro and Jamie Edmundson and wife, Tracy, of Fremont; and several great-nieces and nephews.
