Gary Lee Minchew, 57, died Monday.
The funeral will be held tonight at 7 at Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home in Goldsboro, with visitation following. A graveside service will be held Friday at 11 a.m. at Hills of the Neuse Memory Gardens, with the Rev. Bobby Heath and the Rev. Dock Hobbs officiating.
He was born in Wayne County July 20, 1952, to the late James Ollie Minchew and Rosa Taylor Minchew.
He is survived by his mother, Rosa Taylor Minchew; a son, Chris Minchew of Goldsboro; a daughter, Jamie Hobbs of Pikeville; and a brother, Marshall Minchew of Four Oaks.
Friends and family will meet at Pikes Crossroads Church fellowship hall at 12:30 p.m. Friday.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Pennies From Angels in care of Dr. James Atkins' office, 203 Cox Blvd., Goldsboro, NC, 27534.
Minshew Funeral Home of Four Oaks is handling the arrangements.
