Dora Lee Grant Smith, 80, passed away Sunday at Kitty Askins Hospice Center surrounded by her family.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Seymour Funeral Home, with the Rev. Jerry Mitchell officiating. Interment will follow at Wayne Memorial Park.
Mrs. Smith was born in Wayne County Sept. 17, 1928, to the late Joe Grant and Sally Jones Grant. She was married to the late Joe William Smith.
Mrs. Smith was a member of Woods Grove Pentecostal Free Will Baptist Church.
Mrs. Smith is survived by her son, Pete Smith and wife, Pat, of Goldsboro; her daughters, Peggy Colvin of Dudley, Rose Daniels and husband, Dennis, of Princeton and Bobbie Wise of Princeton; her grandchildren, Roger Colvin, Shirley Johnson, Tonya Anderson, Michael Smith, Charlene Vaughn, Lisa Gery, Allen Dail and Amanda Wise; 11 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grand-children.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her son-in-law, Roy Colvin.
The family would like to thank the staff at 3HC, the Pines and Kitty Askins Hospice Center for the love and care given to their mother. They would like to give special thanks to her daughter-in-law, Pat Smith, for all she has done to help their mother during her declining health. May God bless each of you for your kindness.

The family will receive friends Tuesday from 7 to 9 p.m. at Seymour Funeral Home and other times at the home of Pete and Pat Smith, 607 Kentucky Drive, Goldsboro.
