LAWRENCE C. CROCKER

Lawrence Carroll Crocker, 85, 1186 Grantham School Road, died Saturday at Wayne Memorial Hospital.

A funeral service will be held Tuesday at 2 p.m. at Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home, with the Rev. Bob Clark officiating. Burial will follow in Wayne Memorial Park.

Born Spartanburg, S.C., he was the son of the late Will and Fannie Greene Crocker and husband of the late Christine Aycock Crocker.

He was a member of Falling Creek United Methodist Church and a veteran of the United States Navy, having served our country during World War II.

Mr. Crocker retired from the Wayne County Public Schools in 1980 after 30 years of teaching and also was employed with Mt. Olive Pickle Co. for 50 years.

Mr. Crocker is survived by three sons, Bruce Crocker of Fayetteville, Douglas Crocker of Mount Olive and Larry Crocker of El Sobrante, Calif.

In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be directed to the building fund at Falling Creek United Methodist Church, 299 Falling Creek Church Road, Goldsboro, NC, 27530.
