BARBARA ELLEN PATE

Barbara Ellen Pate, daughter of Elwyn and Louise Troutman of Goldsboro, passed away on Wednesday, July 29, 2009, at the age of 68.
Her memorial service will be held on Monday, Aug. 3, at 11 a.m. at St. John's Episcopal Church. The family will receive friends after the service in the Parish Hall.
A resident of Montgomery for 15 years, she was an accomplished needlewoman and also active in both her neighborhood and community.
She is survived by her husband of 48 years, Charles L. "Chuck" Pate; children, Charles L. "Charlie" Pate Jr. and wife, Bonie, and Melissa Ellen Pate; grandchild, Lauren Ellen Pate; and sisters, Jackie Downey and Susan Halm.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network.
