OWEN C. GREEN

Dec. 31, 1922-July 28, 2009

Owen Clyde Green, 86, passed away Tuesday at Wayne Memorial Hospital.

Memorial services will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. at Daniels Memorial United Methodist Church, with
the Rev. Dr. John Dutton
officiating.

Owen was born in West Oneonta, N.Y., Dec. 31, 1922, to the late Grant Green and Bertha Lent Green.

He managed a branch of The Seven States Gas Co., was employed at The Otsego School for Down Syndrome and was a ranger at various Vermont state parks.

Owen was a member of Daniels Memorial United Methodist Church and Masonic Lodge #553 A.M. & F.M. in Edmeston, N.Y.

Owen is survived by his wife, Alice Bowen Green; his daughter, Karen Rains and husband, Glenn, of LaGrange; his sons, retired Lt. Col. Gary Green and wife, Julie, of Wilmington, Paul Green of Oklahoma City, Okla., and David Green and wife, Patricia, of Edmeston, N.Y.; his sisters, Velma Green of West Oneonta, N.Y., Cora Barney of West Oneonta, N.Y., Ruth Kohari of Akron, Ohio, Marsha Phillips of Farmingdale, N.Y., and Marian Green of West Oneonta, N.Y.; and six grandchildren, Allison Green, Lindsey Green Eklund (Scott), Shelby Green Holman (Dan), Joseph Green, Corey Green and Hillary Rains.

Memorials may be made to Daniels Memorial United Methodist Church, 2803 E. Ash St., Goldsboro, NC, 27534.

The family will receive friends following the service at Daniels Memorial United Methodist Church.
