LAKE GASTON -- Jesse Leon Lewis, 58, died Wednesday.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday at Joyner's Funeral Home. Graveside services will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday in Pamlico Memorial Gardens in Washington.
He was born in Wayne County April 24, 1951.
Mr. Lewis retired from Monsanto. He graduated in 1973 from North Carolina State University and served in the Air Force from 1973 to 1977. He was a member of Mt. Carmel Methodist Church in Pikeville.
Mr. Lewis is survived by his wife, Rebecca; two daughters, Katie Johansson and husband, Eric, and Jessica Eddins and husband, Kevin, all of Raleigh; a granddaughter, AnnMarie Johansson; his mother, Leatha T. Lewis of Stantonsburg; and sister, Donna Mayo and husband, Tommy, of Walstonburg.
He was preceded in death by his father, James H. Lewis.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at Joyner's Funeral Home, 4100 Raleigh Road Parkway, Wilson.
