RUBY L. SMITH

Ruby Lee Smith, 95, 1403 Laurel St., went to be with her Lord and Savior Sunday evening following several years of declining health.

A funeral service will be held tonight at 7 p.m. in the chapel of Howell Funeral Home & Crematory with visitation following, with the Rev. Bill Sutton officiating.

She was born Aug. 25, 1913, to the late Blainey G. Lee and Nettie Wilkins Lee of Dunn.

She was a dedicated member of Tabernacle Pentecostal Holiness Church for many years.

She is survived by a daughter, Joy L. Pate of Goldsboro; three sons, Thomas A. Smith and wife, Laura, of Tampa, Fla.; Richard G. Smith and wife, Sherry, and Harry L. Smith Sr. and wife, Jackie, of Goldsboro; two brothers, Kermit and Everette Lee of Dunn; 10 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and a host of nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, A.L. Smith; a great-grandson, Sean Michael Morgan; and son-in-law, Melvin E. Pate.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to Tabernacle Pentecostal Holiness Church, 1000 E. Ash St., Goldsboro, NC, 27530.
