Thelma Beatrice Davis, 94, 1405 Poplar St., Apt. 44, died Monday at Kitty Askins Center.
Funeral services will be held Friday at 1 p.m. at Best Grove Missionary Baptist Church, 1065 Tommy's Road, with the Rev. Joe Jackson presiding. The Rev. Michael Johnson will deliver the eulogy. Burial will be in Elm-wood Cemetery.
Mrs. Davis is survived by a sister, Eva Davis Washington of Manhattan, N.Y.; two nieces, Roberta Washington and Wambui Bahati of Manhattan; two nephews, Joel Washington and Justin Washington of Greensboro; a special cousin, Doris (James) Bunn of Goldsboro; and a host of other relatives and friends.
A viewing will be held Thursday from 2 to 6 p.m. at Hamilton Funeral Home Chapel.
The family will receive friends Friday at 12:30 p.m. at Best Grove Missionary Baptist Church, and at other times they will be at the home of Mr. and Mrs. James Bunn, 105 Brogden St., Goldsboro.
