DUDLEY -- Doris Ruby Davis, 79, passed away Thursday at Wayne Memorial Hospital.
Mrs. Davis was born in Wilson County on Aug. 30, 1929, to the late Charlie and Rosa Langston Proctor.
She is survived by her husband, Charles G. Davis; one son, Curtis W. Davis and wife, Georgia, of Dudley; and one grandson, Curtis Charles Wade Davis Jr.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Davis was preceded in death by a son, Vernie Glenn Davis, and one grandson, Jesse Allen Davis.
Funeral services will be Saturday at 2 p.m. at the chapel of Howell Funeral Home and Crematory in Goldsboro with visitation immediately afterwards. Graveside services will be Sunday at 2 p.m. at Upper Black Creek Cemetery in Lucama.
