JOANN HOLT SMITH

PRINCETON -- JoAnn Holt Smith 74, 4609 S. Highway 150, Lexington, died Monday at High Point Regional Hospital.
Funeral services will be held at Casey Funeral Home in Princeton on Wednesday at 6 p.m. with the Rev. Dennis Pollock officiating. The burial will be held Thursday at 10 a.m. in Princeton Cemetery.
Born on Nov. 22, 1934, in Johnston County, Mrs. Smith was preceded in death by her husband Leslie, Leondrous Smith Jr. She was the daughter of the late James Franklin (Butler) Holt and Pauline Richardson Holt. JoAnn is a 1952 graduate of Princeton High School. She lived in Mississippi most of her life until recent years.
She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Leslie L. Smith III and wife, Pamela, of Lexington; sisters and brothers-in-law, Nancy Rose and husband, Jimmy, of Smithfield and Virginia Shivar and husband, Curtis, of Dudley; two grandchildren, Jessica Renee Smith and fiancé, Trey Adair Crowell and Laura Morgan Smith; one great-grandchild; and nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends beginning Wednesday at 5 p.m. at Casey Funeral Home and immediately after the service.
