MOUNT OLIVE -- Miss Edna I. Davis, 84, died Sunday morning at SunBridge Care Center.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday night at 7 at Tyndall Funeral Home with visitation following. At other times, the family will be at the home of Roger and Martha Davis, Albritton Road, Calypso. Interment will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. in Maplewood Cemetery.
A longtime resident of the Rones Chapel community and member of Rones Chapel United Methodist Church and its Belle Grady Sunday school class, she was retired from Holt and Whitted Milling Co. where she had been secretary and bookkeeper.
She was the daughter of the late Otis and Emma Price Davis. Having never married, she continued to live at "home" with her parents to whom she provided care and companionship.
Preceded in death by her brother and sister-in-law, Woodard and Frances T. Davis, she was known as "A.e" to their children and grandchildren.
Her surviving family includes these nephews and nieces who were very dear to her heart, Roger and Martha Davis of Calypso, Glen and Kim Davis of Mount Olive, Cathy Davis Brock of Mount Olive; their children, Brent and Libby Davis, John Davis, Alan and Jessie Brock, Elizabeth and Andy Harris, Lee Davis, Sara Davis and Dee Ezzell, along with their families.
