Died Dec. 10, 2006

Funeral services for Henry E. Taylor, 79, 216 Ervin Drive, who died Sunday at Wayne Memorial Hospital will be Friday at 11 a.m. at Goldsboro Chapel Free Will Baptist Church with the Rev. James E. Collins officiating. Interment will be in the Old Mill Cemetery.

He attended Wayne County Public Schools and was drafted into the U.S. Navy during World War II. After returning home he was employed with Wayne Memorial Hospital and retired after 35 years.

He is survived by his wife, Magdalene S. Taylor of the home; one daughter, Barbara S. Keith of Goldsboro; two brothers, Merritt and Paul E. Taylor, both of Goldsboro; three sisters, Willie T. Hicks of Raleigh, Patsy T. Foster of Alexandria, La., and Betty Jean T. Rouse of Goldsboro; two grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
