NELSON W. WILLIAMS 'WAYNE'

PIKEVILLE - Nelson W. "Wayne" Williams, 49, 112 Purple Iris Drive, died Tuesday at Kitty Askins Hospice Center. Born in Wayne County, he was the son of the late Clary Curtis Williams and Dora Mae Jackson Holland. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a stepbrother, Gary Holland. A member of Faith Free Will Baptist Church, he was the previous owner and operator of Williams Used Appliances and a Veteran of the U.S. Army.

Funeral services will be Saturday at 11 am at the Faith Free Will Baptist Church with the Rev. Dann Patrick and the Rev. Ira Williford officiating. Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery.

Mr. Williams is survived by his wife, Beverly L. Williams; a daughter, Katrina Williams of the home; two brothers, Curtis Ray Williams of Dahlonega, Ga., Johnny Williams of Goldsboro; a special friend, Claude Chase of Pikeville; his step father, Rondall Holland of Pikeville; three stepbrothers and two stepsisters.

Family members will greet friends Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home and at other times at the home.
