Mr. Johnnie Elmer Dail, Jr., 62, of 104 Hillview Lane, died Sunday morning surrounded by his loving family.

Mr. Dail was born in Pitt County on Jan. 5, 1944, to the late Johnnie Elmer Dail Sr. and Louvennia Peaden Dail Spruill. He worked as a powerline foreman for Stackhouse with 34 years of service and later went to work with the Town of Fremont as the electrical superintendent.

Funeral services will be Tuesday at 7 p.m. at Seymour Funeral Home Chapel, with the Rev. Barry Williamson and the Rev. Gary Bailey officiating. Interment will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Pinewood Memorial Park in Greenville.

He is survived by his loving wife, Vivian Hardee Dail; his devoted daughters, Yvette Dail of Goldsboro, and Deanne Dail Creech and husband, Bill, of Fuquay-Varina; his son, Richard Todd Landon of Port Orchard, Wa.; his most cherished grandchildren, Anne and Adam Creech; and several brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews.

Flowers are welcome or memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, 930-B Wellness Drive, Greenville, 27834 or the Southeastern Oncology Pennies From Heaven, 203 Cox Blvd., Goldsboro, 27534.

The family will receive friends Tuesday following the service at Seymour Funeral Home and at other times at his home.
