MOUNT OLIVE -- Shirley Louise Peele Holloway, 57, 1377 Indian Springs Road, died at her home Monday.

The funeral will be held Satur-day at 1 p.m. at St. Mark Free Will Baptist Church of Mount Olive with Elder Kennie Jones officiating. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery of Mount Olive.

Born in Wayne County Sept. 25, 1949, she was the daughter of David and Louise Peale.

She attended Milton Elementary and Carver High School. She received her associate degree in business administration from Southeastern Business School in Durham.

Mrs. Holloway was married to Charlie M. B. Holloway.

She was a member of Stanley Chapel Free Will Baptist Church, where she was a Mother of the church, church treasurer, a member of the pastor's care and church food pantry and assisted with the Kennie Jones Ministry summer food program.

She is survived by her husband, Charlie Holloway; daughter and son-in-law, LaShawn and Steve Mitchener of Smithfield; son, Danté Holloway of the home; two stepsons, Reginald Holloway of Washington, D.C. and Keith Holloway of South Carolina; two grandchildren, Malik Holloway and Jamar Mitchener; her father and mother, David and Louise Peele of Mount Olive; two sisters, Helen "Carol" Nobles and husband, Wade, of Durham and Joyce "Dee" Peele of Raleigh; two brothers, Donald "Tooley" Peele of Durham and David "Tim" Peele of Mount Olive; and a host of other relatives and friends.

The viewing will be held today from 3 to 6 p.m. at Garris Funeral Home in Mount Olive. The family will receive friends tonight from 7 to 8 at Stanley Chapel Free Will Baptist Church of Mount Olive and at other times at the home.
