CALYPSO - Hazel Kelly Flowers, 82, died late Wednesday night at SunBridge Care Center in Mount Olive.
She was daughter of the late John and Bessie Myers Kelly and the widow of Lawrence Flowers. A long-time resident of Calypso, she was a member of the Calypso Baptist Church and was a retired bookkeeper.
Funeral services will be 7 p.m. Friday at Tyndall Funeral Home, with the Rev. Paul Rose officiating, with visitation following the service. At other times, the family will be at the home of Bill and Janet Rose in Calypso.
Interment will be private in the Calypso Cemetery.
Mrs. Flowers is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Janet F. and Bill Rose of Calypso; a son and daughter-in-law, Sam and Sharon J. Flowers of Rocky Mount; four grandchildren, Scott Rose of Calypso, Beth Rose of Durham, Ashley Flowers of Hillsborough and Sarah Kathryn Flowers of Rocky Mount; a brother, Nelson Kelly of Greensboro; and two sisters, Mildred K. Sloan of Mount Olive, and Norma K. Albritton of Calypso.
