HAZEL A. HILL

SMITHFIELD - Hazel Amelia Barbour Hill, 83, died Tuesday morning in Johnston Memorial Hospital. Born March 8, 1923 in Johnston County to the late David V. and Minnie Barbour, she was preceded in death by two husbands, Ivey Jackson and Carlyle Wood and a son, Denwood Ray Jackson. She was a member of the Hopewell Free Will Baptist Church where she was a member of the ladies auxiliary.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday in the chapel of Parrish Funeral Home in Selma with the Rev. Scotty Casey and the Rev. Mike Scott officiating. Burial will follow in Grace Baptist Church Cemetery.

Surviving are her husband, Thomas W. "Tommy" Hill; sons, Elmer Leo Jackson of Princeton and Jerry Dan Jackson of Clayton; daughters, Linda Faye Graham of Grantham, Judy Aycock of Princeton and Kaye Stewart of Dunn; 11 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
