Ralph Austin "Bud" Price, 77, of 850 Piney Grove Road, died Friday at his home.
Mr. Price was a veteran of the United States Army and a retired farmer. He was an avid fisherman and enjoyed spending time with his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Dewey and Gertrude Hill Price, and his brother Raymond.
The funeral will take place at 2 p.m. this evening at Pink Hill Funeral Home with the Rev. Everette Pike officiating. The burial will be held at Daly Chapel Church Cemetery.
He is survived by his wife, Sue Jones Price, of the home; daughters, Glenda Davis of Deep Run, Jeanne Turner of Pink Hill and Connie Cash of Kinston; sons, Ralph Austin "Possum" Price Jr. of Kinston, Ronnie Price of LaGrange, Roger Price of Pink Hill, Larry Price of Deep Run, Dewey Keith Price of Seven Springs; sister, Joyce Byrd of Kinston; 15 grandchildren; and 16 great grandchildren.
Visitation was yesterday from 7 until 9 p.m. at Pink Hill Funeral Home.
