Ellie Richardson Jr., 65, 910 Canal St., died Monday at Wayne Memorial Hospital.
The funeral will be held Friday at 11 a.m. at Bear Creek Association Headquarters with the Rev. Alex Cox and Bishop Larry Lewis officiating. Burial will be in Wayne Memorial Park.
He was a native of Wayne County and retired from Consolidated Hide Co. and Cherry Hospital. He was a deacon at Holly Green Missionary Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ellie and Clara Coley Richardson, and his wife, Hattie Richardson.
He is survived by a daughter, Gloria Richardson of the home; two brothers, Morris Richardson and Harold Richardson of Goldsboro; and a sister, Clara Artis of Goldsboro.
A viewing will be held Thursday from 2 to 6 p.m. at McIntyre Funeral Home.
