LEROY ARMWOOD

Funeral services for Leroy Armwood, 67, of 1020 Thompson Ave., will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. from the Greater Six Run Baptist Church with the Rev. Leslie Morrisey officiating. Burial will follow in the Hillcrest Cemetery in Clinton.
Mr. Armwood died Saturday at his home.
He was born in Sampson County to the late Doctor C. and Martha Armwood Morrisey. He was a retired asphalt operator with the Department of Transportation.
He is survived by his wife, Betsy Armwood, of the home; two sons, Anthony Armwood, of Turkey, and Terrell Armwood, of Clinton; two daughters, Priscilla Gavin, of Faison, and Michelle King, of Clinton; three sisters, Quessie Faison, Joyce Faison and Macy Bruton of Brooklyn, N.Y.; seven grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
Viewing will be held Wednesday from 3 until 7 p.m. at the Garris Funeral Home Chapel. The family will be present from 6 until 7 p.m. to receive friends.
