Helen Whitfield Kelly Jones, 76, of 123 Alpine Lane, died Monday morning at Wayne Memorial Hospital.

Funeral services will be held at 7 p.m. this evening at Cricket Ridge Church with the Reverends Albert & Juanita Hollowell officiating. The family will receive friends at the church at the conclusion of the service, and at other times at the residence.

Committal and burial will be at 11 a.m. on Wednesday in Maplewood Cemetery in Mount Olive.

She was a member of the Cricket Ridge Pentecostal Free Will Baptist Church and its church choir, and was a tenor singer with the Kelly Family Singers.

Her survivors include her husband, Wilbert F. "Bill" Jones of the home; three daughters, Jean Kelly of Grantham, and Joyce Kelly Jernigan and Sue Kelly, both of Mount Olive; five sons and daughters-in-law, Roscoe and Faye Kelly of Clinton, Walter Kelly Jr. and Bernice Kelly of Seven Springs, Larry and Vickie Kelly of Grantham, Bruce and Patricia Kelly of Mount Olive, and Danny and Melissa Kelly of Clinton; a son-in-law, Jimmy Lane of Mar Mac; two sisters, Ruby W. Malpass of Castle Hayne and Teenie W. Herche of Denver, Colo.; three brothers, Bill Whitfield and Lewis Truman Whitfield, both of Wilmington, and Andy Whitfield of Deep Run; 27 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.

Those who preceded her in death include her first husband, Walter James Kelly; a daughter, Carolyn Kelly Lane; her parents, Lamb Hatch Whitfield and Carrie Mae Stroud Whitfield; three grandchildren; and several brothers and sisters.

Services are by Tyndall Funeral Home Inc.
