HERMAN H. QUINN

KENANSVILLE -- Herman H. Quinn, 88, 1273 East Ward's Bridge Road, died Sunday afternoon at Duplin General Hospital.

The funeral will be held Tuesday at 2 p.m. at Kenansville Baptist Church with the Rev. Mike Thompson officiating. Burial will be in Devotional Gardens near Warsaw.

He was a retired farmer, a member of the Kenansville Baptist Church and had held numerous positions with Duplin County in earlier years, and he had been a bail bondsman.

Mr. Quinn is survived by his wife of 70 years, Esteen Outlaw Quinn; a daughter-in-law, Sylvia Q. Hawes and husband, George, of Rose Hill; a grandson, William H. Quinn Jr. of Kenansville; a great-grandson, Will Quinn III of Kenansville; a brother, DeLeon Quinn of Kenansville; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his son, William "Bill" Quinn; a sister, Inez Q. Jernigan; a brother, Owen Quinn; and his parents, Kirby and Clyde Chambers Quinn.

The family will receive friends tonight from 7 to 8:30 at Tyndall Funeral Home in Mount Olive. At other times they will be at the home of George and Sylvia Hawes, 860 W. Charity Road, Rose Hill.
