MOUNT OLIVE -- Jennie Mae Bell Wilson, 99, 336 Lees Country Club Road, died Friday at the Brian Center Health and Rehabilitation of Goldsboro.

The funeral will be held Thursday at noon at Gospel Light United Holy Church, 442 E. Hillsborough St., Mount Olive, with Elder Dwight Morrisey officiating. Burial will be in Carver Memorial Park.

She was born to the late Nathan and Liza Jane Brewington Bell. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ronnie Malachi Wilson Sr., and two sons, Waldore Wilson Sr. and Ronnie Malachi Wilson Jr.

Mrs. Wilson was a member of the Gospel Light United Holy Church in Mount Olive where she served faithfully as the chairman of the mother board.

She leaves her children to cherish her memories: Woodrow Wilson of Philadelphia, Helen Daniels of Goldsboro, Evelyn Rivera of LaGrange, Roger Malachi Wilson of Goldsboro, Rodney Wilson of Dudley, Evangelist Edna Harper of Mount Olive, Gwyndella Wilson of Mount Olive and Delnora Walls of Cary. Her daughters-in-law include Veola Aultmon of Mount Olive and Mattie Wilson of Indiana. She had one sister-in-law, Emmaline Wilson of Philadelphia, 19 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. Her special care givers were Mrs. Ruby Jones, Mrs. Maggie Newsome, Mrs. Gertrude Croom and Mrs. Nellie Rhodes.

The family will receive relatives and friends tonight from 7 to 8 at Garris Funeral Home, 812 S. Center St. in Mount Olive. The family will also receive relatives and friends at other times at the home.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Gospel Light United Holy Church Educational Fund in care of Gospel Light United Holy Church, P.O. Box 806, Mount Olive, 28365.

The family gives many thanks to Dr. Robert Owens and the Brian Center administrative and nursing staff.
