MOUNT OLIVE - Shaneall Denise Bowden, 14 of 514 S. Chestnut St. died Saturday at Duke Medical Center in Durham.
She was born in Wayne County to Cynthia Denise Bowden and Freddie Lee Robinson. Shaneall was a ninth grade student at Southern Wayne High School.
Funeral services will be held Friday at 2 p.m. from the Mount Gilead Baptist Church with the Rev. Larry B. Faison officiating. Burial will follow in the Carver Cemetery.
In addition to her parents, she is survived by two brothers, Michael J. Bowden of Mt. Olive and Joshua Bowden of the home; two sisters, Tammy Register of Dudley and Teresa Manley of Mt. Olive; her maternal grandmother, Omelia Bowden of Mt. Olive; and several aunts and uncles.
Viewing will be held Thursday from 4 until 7 p.m. at the Garris Funeral Home Chapel and the family will be present from 6 until 7 p.m. to receive friends.
