SMITHFIELD - Noah Marion Brock, age 83, died Tuesday evening in Johnston Memorial Hospital. Born in Johnston County to the late Butler Marion and Sarah Jane Toler Brock, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Fannie Green and Nancy Lawhon and a brother, Elijah Brock. He was a US Army veteran of W.W.II and a lifetime member of the DAV. An automobile mechanic by trade, Noah enjoyed farming, carpentry and fishing, but was best known as a jack-of-all trades.
A graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday in the Hills of the Neuse Memory Gardens with the Rev. Jimmy Earp officiating.
Surviving are his wife, Susie Rhodes Brock; daughter, Margaret Brock Whitley and husband, Ronald of Pine Level; granddaughter, Robin Pate Parton and husband, Kenneth of Raleigh; and two great grandchildren, Logan Schnider and Sarah Schnider.
The family will receive friends from 7 until 9 p.m. Thursday at the Parrish Funeral Home in Princeton.
