STANTONSBURG -- Stella Mae Honeycutt Farmer, 77, died Tuesday.

The funeral will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. at First Baptist Church of Stantonsburg. Burial will be in Stantonsburg Town Cemetery with the Rev. Max Patterson officiating.

She was very active in First Baptist Church, serving as a deacon and church treasurer.

Mrs. Farmer is survived by a daughter, Theresa Sugg and husband, Doug, of Stantonsburg; a son, Wade Farmer and wife, Lori, of Stantonsburg; three grandchildren, Heather Farmer, Amanda Farmer and Tyler Farmer; and three sisters, Rachel Bass and Lois Pratt of Wilmington and Linda Brown of Alpharetta, Ga.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Douglas Wade Farmer.

The family will receive friends tonight from 6 to 8:30 p.m. at Joyner's Funeral Home, 4100 Raleigh Road Parkway, Wilson. At other times, they will be at 205 Saratoga St., Stantonsburg.
