DOYLOUISE RAULSTON

March 22, 1914-Sept. 12, 2006

Doylouise Adams Raulston died Tuesday at her residence.

She was the daughter of the late Rev. Hoyt Adams and Dessi Heaton Adams of Hartwill, Ga.

A memorial service will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. at Madison Avenue Baptist Church.

A charter member of Madison Avenue Baptist Church, she looked after the Beginner's Department Sunday School for several decades. In addition to being a loving homemaker, she was a keen gardener, seamstress, decorator and collector/restorer of rare colonial American antiques. She was also an avid reader of biographies and a talented cook.

She is survived by her husband, Norman E. Raulston; her daughter, Sally R. Walker of Coimbatore, India; and her sister, Mrs. Leora Eleazer, Columbia, S.C.

The family requests memorial gifts be directed to Madison Avenue Baptist Church, 300 S. Madison Avenue, Goldsboro, 27530.

Funeral arrangements are being handled by Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home and Crematory.
