WILLIAM WILLOUGHBY

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. -- William B. "Whistle" Willoughby, formerly of Kenly, died last month. Born in Johnston County to the late Bethany Andrew and Addie Parnell Willoughby, he was a U.S. Army veteran of W.W.II.

A memorial service will be conduced at 2 p.m., Sept. 16 in the Fellowship United Methodist Church with the Rev. Ralph Hill officiating. The burial will follow in Kenly Cemetery.

Surviving are his daughters Merle Willoughby of Hiram, Ga., and Nycole Willoughby of St. Petersburg, Fla.; a brother, B.A. Willoughby of Kenly; sisters, Annie Mae Darden and Louise Rowe, both of Princeton, and Elizabeth Willoughby of Hartland, Wis.

Parrish Funeral Home in Selma is assisting the family with service details.
