THOMAS EDWARD WARD

Thomas Edward Ward, Senior Chief Petty Officer Retired, 79, died Wednesday at the Sterling House.

Mr. Ward was born in Salem, Mass., to the late James F. Ward and Mary Elizabeth McDonald Ward. He served his country in the United States Navy for 23 years.

Funeral services will be held Saturday at 3 p.m. at Seymour Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Tom Norris, O.S.F.S. presiding. Graveside services will be held Tuesday, October 24 at 2:00 p.m. in Arlington National Cemetery with full military honors.

Mr. Ward is survived by his wife, Barbara June Caton Ward; his daughters, Cathy Young and husband, Mark of West Virginia, Cindy Paulson of Fenton, Mich., Tammy Allison and husband, Jerry of Denver, Colo. and Carla Taylor and husband, David of Goldsboro; his sons, Jimmy Ward and wife, Bonnie of Tampa, Fla., Bobby Ward and wife, Seda of Columbia, Md., Charles J. Fiske II and wife, Margie of Wheaton, Md. and Donnie Fiske and wife, Windyl of Stevens City, Va.; his sister, Shirley Previte of Peabody, Ma.; fourteen grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

The family will greet friends Saturday from 1 until 3 p.m. at Seymour Funeral Home, 1300 Wayne Memorial Drive, Goldsboro, NC 27534.
