JOHN N. PIAZZA

Died Aug. 26, 2006

KINSTON -- John Nicholas Piazza, 84, died Saturday at Lenoir Memorial Hospital.

The funeral will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. at St. Mary's Episcopal Church with Father A. Michael Singer officiating. Entombment will be at Pinelawn Memorial Park.

Mr. Piazza was born in Port Washington, N.Y., to the late Joseph and Rose Teresa Scaligero Piazza.

He served in the Army during World War II and was a retired corporate accountant with Joy Manufacturing (Crouse-Hinds). He was a member of St. Mary's Episcopal Church and the Golden K Kiwanis Club and was a volunteer with Lenoir Memorial Hospital.

He was preceded in death by two brothers, Joseph Piazza Jr. and Anthony Piazza.

He is survived by a daughter, Deborah Maloney of Port Washington, and a sister, Rose Piazza of Kinston.

The family will receive friends today from 3 to 5 p.m. at Rouse Funeral Home of LaGrange.
