PAULINE C. ALLEN

Pauline Creech Allen, 75, 463 Sandhill Dr., died Sunday at Wayne Memorial Hospital.

The funeral will be held Wednesday at 3 p.m. at Providence United Methodist Church with the Rev. Jerry Jackson officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Mrs. Allen was born in Wayne County June 27, 1931, to the late Walter Creech and Gladys Grady Creech. For more than 25 years, she delivered newspapers for the Goldsboro News-Argus. She was a member of Providence United Methodist Church.

She was preceded in death by her granddaughter, Whitney Shea Taylor; three brothers, Gilbert Creech, Norwood "Jack" Creech and Edward Creech; and three sisters, Helen C. Beavers, Lora Dean "Tot" C. Beasley and Patty C. Carter.

She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Edward Allen; a daughter, Brenda A. Taylor, and husband, Don, of Goldsboro; a son, Brent Allen, and wife, Rhonda, of Mobile, Ala.; three grandchildren, Ashley Aguilar, and husband, Robert, of Martinsville, Va., Chris Allen, and wife, Michelle of Manassas, Va., and Duane Allen of Durham; a great-granddaughter, Abby Allen; a sister, Tempie C. Hare of Goldsboro; and her sister-in-law, Alice Creech of Kayce, S.C.

Flowers are welcome or memorials may be made to Providence United Methodist Church, 202 Providence Church Road, Goldsboro, 27534.

The Samaritan Sunday school class of Providence United Methodist Church will serve as honoraries for the service.

The family will receive friends Tuesday night from 7 to 9 at Seymour Funeral Home. At other times, they will be at her home.
