JAPAN -- Staff Sgt. Byron Grandy-Richardson died in an accident Saturday in Japan, where he was serving with the Air Force.
A memorial service will be held Friday in Japan.
Funeral arrangements are incomplete and will be held in Washington D.C. Stewart Funeral Home of Washington D.C. is serving the family.
He is survived by his mother, Patricia Grandy of Washington D.C.; his father, Eugene Richardson of Landover, Md.; his grandparents, Sudie Richardson Shearod of Goldsboro and the late William Richardson Sr.; his wife, Crystal; two sons, Carsten and Zoren; and a daughter, Zoe.
