Mark Alan Burgess, 45, a resident of O'Berry Center, died Thursday at Kitty Askins Hospice Center.
A memorial service will be held at 4 p.m. Monday at Brown-Wynne Funeral Home on Saint Mary's Street in Raleigh.
Surviving are his brother, Michael Burgess and his wife, Audrey, of Tumon, Guam; sisters, Judy Bass and her husband, Bill, of Wilmington and Beverly Femia and her husband, John, of Hampstead; nephews, Mark A. Burgess of Tumon, Guam, and Chris Bass of Wilmington; and niece, Melinda Burgess of Las Vegas, Nev.
The family requests that in lieu of flowers, memorials be made to O'Berry Family and Friends Foundation, 400 Old Smithfield Road, Goldsboro, N.C. 27530.
