Roosevelt Harris Sr. of LaGrange died Wednesday at Lenoir Memorial Hospital in Kinston.
The funeral will be held at 3 p.m. on Saturday at Jumping Run F.W.B. Church with the Rev. Jerry Harris officiating. The viewing will be held today from 2 to 8 p.m. at Robert Swinson Jr. Memorial Chapel in Kinston.
Mr. Harris is survived by one daughter, Vera Linares of Greensboro; four sons, Jerry Harris, Arthur Harris and Charles Harris of LaGrange, as well as Roosevelt Harris, Jr. of Kinston. Mr. Harris is also survived by four sisters, Helen Bell of LaGrange, Jerothia Harris of Goldsboro, Doris Dixon of Snow Hill, and Ella Harris of Kinston, and two brothers, David Lee Harris of Kinston, and Robert Harris of New Jersey, and 14 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.
