SMITHFIELD -- Martha Ellen Johnson Hamilton, 89, died Tuesday.
She was a native of Johnston County and was the daughter f the late Robert and Martha Maynard Johnson.
She is survived by her husband, John T. Hamilton; one daughter, Rose Grant of Goldsboro; one brother, Edward Johnson of Smithfield; and two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
The funeral will be held today at 7 p.m. in the chapel of Minshew Funeral Home in Four Oaks. The family will receive friends afterward.
