Vernon Dwight Galloway, 59, died Monday at his home in Fayetteville.
Mr. Galloway was a former resident of Goldsboro and an Air Force veteran of the Vietnam War.
He is survived by his parents, Vernon and Bernice Galloway; one son, Michael Galloway; and one granddaughter.
The funeral will be held Friday at 11 a.m. in the chapel of Reeves Funeral Home in Fayetteville, and the family will receive friends there from 7 until 9 this evening.
Memorial donations may be made to the American Heart Association, 2711 Breezewood Ave., Fayetteville, N.C., 28303.
